Opal is a leading manufacturer of goods that people use every day. Our customer base includes some of the biggest names in FMCG, Retail and Fresh Produce.

The Maintenance Technician will have shift times of Monday to Thursday 3pm to 1am. This role involves working on machinery and equipment across our site.

This will include;
- The timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns
- Playing a key role within a team focused on efficient maintenance practices on the site
- Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams
- Following safe work practices at all times and adhering to Opal's values, procedures and policies
- Assisting with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval
- Responding to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis
- Providing reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required (reasonable overtime)

The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate strong fault finding and communication skills and have the ability to problem solve and show initiative.

Trade qualified fitters or equivalent are expected to apply for this role. Experience in high speed production lines and environment will be advantageous. Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environment are essential qualities for this position.
