Job Description

The Maintenance fitter plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment across our site. Working on the afternoon shift, Monday to Thursday 3pm to 1am, this position involves:

  1. Running repairs and troubleshooting issues as they occur throughout the day
  2. Planned shutdowns of machines and equipment for servicing

This will include:

  1. Timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns
  2. Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams
  3. Following safe work practices at all times and adhering to company values, procedures and policies
  4. Assisting with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval
  5. Responding to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis
  6. Providing reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required (reasonable overtime)
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong fault finding and communication skills, as well as the ability to problem solve and show initiative.

  • Trade qualified fitter or equivalent
  • Experience in high speed production lines and environment an advantage
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environment
  • Team Player, trustworthy and great work ethic
