Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly respected senior leader with a mix of tax policy, data, economic, financial and/or government relations skills to take on the role of Strategic Revenue Leader.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated policy and data specialists, maintaining strong relationships across the ATO, the APS and the academic and research communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Treasury and the Department of Finance as appropriate
  • Provide compliance costings and advice on Office of Impact Assessment requirements
  • Prepare assessments of the costs to the ATO on implementing proposed administrative and legislative changes to tax policy and law
  • Work with colleagues who prepare annual report information, assist with performance measurement and contribute to revenue reporting
  • Provide data services in a policy context to the ATO and to Treasury and, where permitted, to other APS agencies
