Comprehensive Sexual Assault Care Services

The NNSWLHD Sexual Assault Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Medical Specialist to provide medical and forensic intervention following the disclosure of sexual assault. As part of a 24/7 on-call roster, you will be expected to respond within two hours and deliver comprehensive services for optimal client/patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide timely response to clients/patients requiring an immediate medical and/or forensic intervention
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team environment
- Respond to designated hospitals to deliver comprehensive services
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner
- Hold a recognised qualification and appropriate training in Sexual Assault and Forensic Examination
- Demonstrated experience and recency of clinical practice in relevant areas such as sexual assault, sexual health, women's health, mental health and emergency medicine

The Far North Coast is a diverse region spanning from Lismore in the south to the golden beaches of Tweed Heads in the north. The service provides a 24-hour crisis response team for children, young people and adults who have experienced assault or attempted assault.
