Job Description

Provide medical and forensic interventions to clients/patients following sexual assault disclosures.


Work as part of a 24/7 on-call roster with the ability to respond within two hours and provide comprehensive services for optimal client outcomes at designated hospitals.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to immediate medical and/or forensic intervention requests following sexual assault disclosures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional client care.
  • Conduct thorough medical and forensic assessments, providing timely reports and recommendations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to service enhancements and best practices.


Requirements:
  • Eligibility for Specialist General Practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia or overseas trained specialist pathways.
  • Hold recognized qualifications and training in Sexual Assault and Forensic Examination, with willingness to undertake additional relevant training as approved by the Local Health District.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice areas such as sexual assault, sexual health, women's health, mental health, and emergency medicine.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to work on-call, responding to sexual assault presentations within two hours of request.
  • Valid unrestricted NSW driver's license for use in NSW/Australia, with willingness to travel in the course of employment.
