Sexual Assault Specialist GP

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our team as a Sexual Assault Specialist.


About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing specialist medical care to victims of sexual assault.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and compassionate responses to clients requiring immediate medical and forensic intervention.
  • You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive services and achieve optimal client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing expert medical care and forensic examination as required.
  • Work effectively within a 24/7 on-call roster, ensuring that clients receive urgent care within two hours.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience in sexual assault, sexual health, women's health, mental health, and emergency medicine.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
