Job Description:

The role of a Commercial Contract Specialist is to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain effective commercial contract strategies. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to ensure they are commercially sound and compliant with relevant policies and frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives and risk management requirements.
  • Negotiating contractual terms with suppliers and vendors to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.
  • Developing and implementing commercial contract strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, and business units, to ensure effective contract management practices.
  • Providing training and support to team members on commercial contract management best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a business or commercial discipline, with strong commercial acumen.
  • At least 5 years' experience in contract/vendor management, strategic planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
