Front Of House Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced team leader to oversee the front-of-house operations in our dynamic Tasmanian eatery.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask and problem-solve effectively, and possess a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • E nsure all items served/sold to guests/customers are of the highest standard.
  • Be proficient in key systems used in daily operations, including Lightspeed, Channel Manager, Open Table, and social media assets.
  • Take bookings for dining, accommodation, and functions.
  • Aid productivity to ensure effective service and daily targets are reached.
  • Monitor stock and compile weekly orders.
  • Ensure correct opening and closing responsibilities are carried out by all staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
  • Contribute to ideas and practices to improve business operations.
  • Liaise with the head chef and management regarding functions, menus, and specials.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar position, preferably in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
  • Current Food Safe Certificate.
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent verbal communication and memorization skills.
  • Exceptional organizational ability and decision-making skills.
  • Great interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings for special events, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingsness to perform additional duties to facilitate operations, as needed.

To succeed in this role, you must be punctual, organized, enthusiastic, and a team-oriented individual with great communication skills. You should be able to multitask, problem-solve, and remain outgoing and positive.
