**About the role**

Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the overall management of service delivery for our childcare services covering over 60 long day care places and 40 OSHC places across 2 services. This role manages all aspect of service delivery including administration, resourcing/rostering, staff management, reporting, budgets and funding. The current Director is willing to provide transition support for the successful applicant.

You will also be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with NQF (Perth Service) and Centre Based Licencing (Cressy Service), safety, and other applicable regulations and requirements.

Managing a large team of passionate educators, you will be required to provide mentoring, professional development, and leadership to deliver quality outcomes for the children and their families.

You will also need to promote and support the understanding of the planning cycle, the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place, and the National Quality Framework throughout both Services, whilst developing enriched quality learning programs and environments, building skills, knowledge and professionalism.

**About you**

You will be passionate about your work and take pride in making a positive difference to families and the team. You will be a great communicator with both adults and children, and you will be proactive in your approach to care and support. You will also have a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and kindness.

You must have:

- At least 3 years in a similar or Assistant Director role
- A diploma in Early Childhood Education (Minimum)
- A strong understanding and commitment to the EYLF and the National Quality Framework
- Experience of managing and mentoring a large team of educators
- Proven ability to establish positive relationships with educators and families
- Hands-on Educator experience, working with children aged 0-12
- Working With Vulnerable People Registration
- Hold a current Tasmanian Drivers Licence
- A recognised Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood qualification as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority or actively working towards would be advantageous.

Terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement. The remuneration package for this role includes 13% superannuation and a commuter-use vehicle.
