About the Role

The Cannon Hill Anglican College is seeking a highly experienced and qualified professional to lead our Humanities Faculty. As the Head of Faculty, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the Humanities Program, ensuring it aligns with the College's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Humanities curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of students and aligns with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Lead a team of dedicated educators, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives that enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Humanities Program, making recommendations for improvement and growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, and the broader community.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading a Humanities Faculty or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Queensland Senior Science Curriculum.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on student-centered learning and outcomes.
  • Recent experience in teaching and learning, with a focus on innovative and progressive practices.
