About the Role

This newly created position will report directly to the General Manager Utilities O M and join the Senior Leadership Team to provide operational support and shape strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing P C operations, promoting gender equity, diversity, and engagement in the workforce, and driving meaningful initiatives that create genuine impact.

The role is based out of our North Sydney head office with occasional travel to VIC and WA sites for on-the-ground engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full spectrum of strategic and operational P C activities, including EA negotiations, IR ER frameworks, performance reviews, engagement surveys, and compliance.
  • Mentor and guide leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams, resolve workforce challenges, and drive organisational goals.
  • Engage with staff via site visits, health check surveys, and feedback sessions, ensuring they feel supported and heard.
  • Implement, manage, and deliver workforce planning, leadership programs, and transformational cultural initiatives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in similar roles within complex, unionised environments, with expertise in EA IR negotiations.
  • Proven ability to introduce practical solutions that uplift team performance and address organisational challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A confident self-starter who balances hands-on operational tasks with big-picture strategy.
