Job Title: Senior Accounting Professional

Magna Systems & Engineering is a 57-year-old Australian SME with offices in the APAC region, servicing clients in the broadcast and telecommunications sector.

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Professional to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities across all group entities.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including month-end and year-end statements.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage job profit and loss, work-in-progress, month-end journals, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Procurement to Pay: Oversee procure-to-pay process, including accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS, GST/VAT, Payroll Tax, FBT, and jurisdiction-specific filings for offshore entities.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • 5–7+ years of experience in senior accounting or group finance role with multi-entity exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Odoo, MYOB, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
