Financial Strategy Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Strategist. This key position will play a vital part in our financial framework and be involved in capital planning and budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate effective capital budgeting processes, including the maintenance of a 10-year capital works plan.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues responsible for business partnering and providing valuable financial services.
  • Analyze financial data to support business performance, combining it with non-financial information to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, long-term financial planning, and annual financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, with membership of a recognized Australian professional accounting body highly regarded.
  • Relevant experience in related roles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A sound understanding of financial management, analysis, and planning.
  • The ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capacity to understand customer needs and positively influence change.
