About This Opportunity

As a Peer Support Worker, you will have the chance to support individuals with lived experience of mental health and/or homelessness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide opportunities for clients to engage in recreational activities and recovery-related activities.
  • Transport clients participating in the program.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members.
  • Establish professional relationships with residents.
  • Respond promptly to incidents impacting resident safety and security according to site policies and procedures.
Essential Skills:
  • Lived experience of mental health and/or homelessness.
  • Understanding of what contributes to recovery from a lived experience perspective.
  • Experience supporting individuals struggling with mental health and/or homelessness, including volunteer work.
  • Ability to co-facilitate groups or willingness to learn.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • NT Working with Children Ochre Card check.
  • Current NT driver's license.
  • Certificate of Full Vaccination status for Covid-19.
