Psychologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Psychologist to join our team and contribute to the well-being of active Australian Defence Force (ADF) members.

About The Role

This is a part-time role available within a multi-disciplinary team. As a Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing mental health support to ADF personnel. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial assessments, administering psychometric tests, and developing personalized treatment plans to address each individual's unique needs.

  • You will work closely with other team members to help optimize the health of our service members.
  • You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while collaborating with your team on risk assessments, crisis intervention, and developing comprehensive treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct initial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for ADF personnel.
  2. Administer psychometric tests to assess mental health and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  3. Work closely with other team members to provide comprehensive mental health support.
  4. Develop and implement treatment strategies to address individual needs.
Requirements
  • A current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist.
  • At least 2 years' post-graduate experience in mental health within the last 5 years.
  • A current HLTAID009 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate.
  • Familiarity with state/territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 is considered advantageous.
