
Supportive Learning Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate education support teacher to join our team at Leda Education Support Centre.
As an education support teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, including intellectual disabilities, multiple physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, and complex communication needs.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, reflective, and student-centred in their approach. They will possess strong skills in working with students who require individualised programs and evidence-based practice to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
A commitment to designing and reviewing meaningful Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that nurture both functional curriculum outcomes and the whole child is essential.
You will work closely with a collaborative team of specialist teachers and education support staff to deliver targeted interventions and strategies that cater to each student's unique needs.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and programs such as Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing, and Zones of Regulation to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider community to encourage student engagement and celebrate success in every form.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
