Teacher - Indigenous Art Educator

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teacher-Indigenous Art Educator to join our team in a part-time ongoing capacity. As a key member of our Corrections team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality vocational education and training in Indigenous Art.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering competency-based assessments and teaching Indigenous Art skills to students within the correctional system;
  • Conducting regular progress reviews and providing constructive feedback to students;
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and outcomes;
  • Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement effective educational programs.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum TAE40110 or TAE40116 (including TAEASS501 and TAELLN411) VET teaching qualification, or currently enrolled with the view of completing this within two years;
  • Vocational qualifications and competencies in Indigenous Art;
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds;
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • A collaborative and flexible approach to working within a team environment.
