Art Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Art Teacher to deliver high-quality education in a Secondary school setting.

This is a full-time role that requires the teacher to oversee curriculum development, planning, and assessment of students (Years 8-12).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons based on best theoretical and practical knowledge and each student's development, skills, and interest.
  • Cater for individual learning needs within the classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and specialist staff to develop and evaluate curriculum.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress regularly.
  • Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content and educational standards.
  • Stay informed about current trends, teaching practices, and curriculum developments by remaining in contact with relevant professional networks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and teaching experience in Art subjects.
  • Experience teaching Ceramics and Art Creative Practice at VCE Level.
  • A willingness to implement new ideas and approaches.
  • Ability to teach Visual Communication Design (desired but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
