About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Education Program Director to join our service at Centacare Brisbane. This role requires working in a part-time capacity as an Educational Leader, while also taking on the Person in Day-to-Day Charge position.
Prior experience within Outside School Hours Care is highly valued, and this contact role will involve additional hours for planning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with families, children, and fellow educators to develop programs that cater to the best interests of the children and their needs.
This role is pivotal in fostering a lifelong love of learning among the children and building strong relationships with families, educators, and the community.
About the Service
Our service operates within Sienna Catholic Primary School and has been serving the community for over 10 years. We provide before school care, after school care, and vacation care to up to 60 children. Our OSHC aims to deliver high-quality care by reflecting the current framework – My Time Our Place, extending and enriching children's wellbeing and development in a school age care setting.
The children participate in a range of play and leisure experiences, which supports their social skills, problem-solving abilities, and life skills based on their individual interests and abilities. Our staff are dedicated to providing a stimulating, safe, and caring environment for the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive educational program.
- Ensure all children have opportunities to participate in the program and special events by following our events calendar.
- Support children's growth and development, committed to seeing them learn and have fun in a happy, safe, and nurturing environment.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's expectations and educational philosophy.
Job Requirements:
- Certificate III, IV, or Diploma qualification recognised by ACECQA.
- Experience working as an Educational Leader or PIDTDC is preferred.
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
