We are seeking a skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
The successful applicant will play a vital role in planning and implementing group and individual Allied Health programs under the guidance of a Senior Occupational Therapist.
About Our TeamThe Mental Health Inpatient Unit on Ward 5A at Perth Children's Hospital provides a comprehensive seven-day program for children and young people up to 16 years old with complex and acute mental health issues.
Our team offers short-term assessment, brief intervention, and therapeutic group programs tailored to meet patient needs.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in planning and delivering group and individual Allied Health programs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Provide support to patients and families as needed.
- Completion of an approved Allied Health Assistant Training Program or minimum first year completed of an Allied Health Degree (Masters or Bachelor's).
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a mental health environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
