We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team at Graco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing all accounting, fixed assets, and credit duties for Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and orderly accounting records and produce meaningful reports
- Perform weekly BBB reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger account reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable and debt collections, ensuring required DSO levels are met
- Review and release credit holds in a timely manner and evaluate customer creditworthiness
- Meet accounting and reporting deadlines
- Responsible for general ledger, accounts receivable, demo inventory, and fixed assets
- Perform weekly BBB reconciliation and bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly FBT data and reconcile GST reports with the general ledger
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monthly payroll
- Calculate sales rebates and royalties
- Assist in the preparation of annual and mid-year budgets
- Perform special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager
- Monitor Australia and New Zealand accounts receivable collections and maintain required DSO levels
- Review and release credit holds in a timely manner
- Allocate daily customer receipts and attend to customer queries
- Reconcile customer accounts and raise credit/debit notes
- Analyze customer credit and financial status on a regular basis and make credit limit suggestions to the Finance Manager and AP Credit Controller
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in operating a PC, as well as spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
