Job Title: Senior Trade Measurement Officer

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trade Measurement Officer to lead and mentor trade measurement staff. The role involves establishing local inspection priorities, planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance programs by coordinating and conducting inspections of traders, packing houses, and licensees.

  • Leading and mentoring trade measurement staff;
  • Establishing local inspection priorities to meet the required standards;
  • Planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance programs;
  • Negotiating, liaising, and providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Investigating breaches of trade measurement legislation;
  • Educating stakeholders, including licensees and measuring instrument operators;
  • Assisting with proactive compliance strategies, plans, and initiatives;
  • Supervising professional development and mentoring staff;
  • Coaching Assistant Trade Measurement Officers in both field and remote learning environments.

Required qualifications include:

  • A current Australian driver's licence;
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent);
  • Certificate IV in Trade Measurement (or greater);
  • A qualification demonstrating appropriate knowledge or experience to be appointed as a Trade Measurement Inspector under relevant legislation.
