Compliance Specialist Role

The Compliance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that our organization maintains the highest standards of compliance with local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to mitigate risks associated with anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, data privacy, and insider trading regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies, such as the NSW and WA Law Societies, to ensure compliance with local rules and regulations.
  • Lead the promotion and monitoring of compliance initiatives, taking into account the objectives set by senior management.
  • Design and develop preventive monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reporting Obligations:
  • Report promptly to senior management on serious compliance violations and propose corrective actions.
  • Submit regular compliance reports to senior management, highlighting compliance activities and any issues encountered.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a compliance-related field or a related profession.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A good understanding of local legal profession regulations and law firms.
  • A thorough knowledge of anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, data privacy, and insider trading regulations.
