Vehicle Information Specialist

This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Vehicle Information Specialist to join our team.

The Role

As a key member of the Finance and Commercial Services Division, you will be responsible for monitoring fleet operations, compliance and ensuring appropriate policy development and maintenance, as well as managing information and knowledge sharing on contemporary vehicle management practices.

You will be responsible for implementing vehicle strategy through the development and maintenance of vehicle information systems, stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with vehicle management processes and procedures.

In addition, this role provides timely assistance to stakeholders with vehicle information (for FBT calculations) and responds to parliamentary and ministerial enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of procurement and fleet management policies and practices in government
  • Demonstrated practical experience in business and systems analysis, project management and change management methodologies and processes
  • Demonstrated well-developed skills and experience in achieving outcomes and delivering quality products and services consistent with defined quality expectations, including timeliness
  • Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills to undertake consultation, collaboration, negotiation and build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated well-developed written communication skills, including experience in contributing to reports, briefing papers and responses to senior executive and/or ministerial/parliamentary requests
