Corporate Banking Opportunity

Our business banking team serves a diverse portfolio of clients across Australia with complex financial needs and turnover between $10m to $500m.

We are committed to understanding our clients, delivering insights, and driving sustainable business growth. Our client base encompasses various industries, including private and small/medium public companies.

The Client Acquisition team originates and onboards new-to-bank customers with lending requirements ranging from $5m - $200m. This includes leading transactions where clients are undertaking M&A or other material corporate activity.

Once a transaction is completed, the ongoing management of the client is transferred to the Relationship Team, allowing the Client Acquisition team to focus on the next transaction.

You will support a dedicated team of professionals in analyzing, structuring, and modeling complex financing solutions to achieve overall team targets and business objectives.

This opportunity allows you to gain exposure to more complex corporate banking deals, work in a strong and successful business, and gain outstanding exposure to deal flow in the Mid-Market segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the viability and coordinate the execution of transactions;
  • Support the Client Acquisition and wider Business Banking relationship teams on specific finance transactions through structured credit and financial modeling;
  • Prepare and present pitches to potential clients, including board level, business owners, and senior management teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in considering business and market risk, writing, and analyzing credit transactions;
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in financial modeling;
  • The ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience;
  • An analytical mind with strong relationship management skills;
  • Experience with legal documentation;
  • A commitment to team success, goal orientation, and a can-do attitude;
  • A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
