About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bell Captain to join our team at The Star Brisbane. As a key member of our Concierge team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth arrival and departure of our guests, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of Hotel Porters and Doormen to deliver a world-class experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Hotel Porter and Doorman team to deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment
- Coordinate the arrival and departure of guests, including luggage and vehicle handling
- Provide accurate information on hotel services and facilities, as well as local attractions and events
- Foster positive working relationships across all departments at The Star Brisbane
- Assist the Chief Concierge in rostering, training, and communications
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience as a Bell Captain or similar role in a five-star property (desirable)
- QLD Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and passionate hotel professional who is proficient in Opera PMS and has a proven track record of leading and developing successful teams. You should be collaborative, welcoming, and able to instill a culture of excellence within the team. As we move to The Star Brisbane, you will be critical in leading the team through change and ensuring a seamless transition.
