About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bell Captain to join our team at The Star Brisbane. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth arrival and departure of our guests, providing exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive working relationship with our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Hotel Porter and Doorman team to ensure positive guest relations and a welcoming environment
  • Coordinate the arrival and departure of guests, including luggage and vehicle handling
  • Provide accurate information on services and facilities available within the property, as well as local events and attractions
  • Foster a positive working relationship across all departments at The Star Brisbane
  • Assist the Chief Concierge in rostering, training, and communications
Requirements
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Experience as a Bell Captain or similar role in a five-star property is desirable
  • QLD Driver's licence with a clean driving record required
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About You

You will be an experienced hotel professional with prior porter experience, proficient in Opera PMS. You should be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and possess a proven track record of leading and developing successful teams. Your approach should be collaborative and welcoming, and you should recognise the importance of instilling this culture within the team.

As we move to The Star Brisbane, you will be critical in leading the team through change. You will have a demonstrated understanding of relevant industry regulatory requirements and experience ensuring these requirements are met as part of your ways of working.
