Job Description:We're looking for an energetic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to help build, support, and grow our vibrant network of tennis volunteers across the ACT and region.
This is a part-time contract position offering flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the tennis community.
- Developing & Delivering a Volunteering Strategy to assess current volunteer networks and identify opportunities for growth.
- Recruiting & Retaining Volunteers through tailored plans to ensure year-round support for the tennis community.
- Building Capability & Capacity by working with Tennis Australia, clubs, and stakeholders to deliver training and programs.
- Fostering an Inclusive Environment that encourages long-term involvement from people of all backgrounds and skill levels.
- Collaborating Widely with clubs, coaches, schools, universities, parents, and community stakeholders to create positive volunteer experiences.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have strong organisational and planning skills.
- Experience working with volunteers or community groups (sport sector experience highly regarded).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A passion for inclusion, community development, and grassroots sport.
- Be prepared to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis ACT.
