Job Summary

Milestone IT is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of medical equipment in our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment, delegating tasks to technicians as needed to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Respond to equipment complaints and perform repairs to restore functionality, addressing electronics, mechanical, and software issues.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations to nursing staff and doctors on medical equipment, promoting effective use and understanding.
  • Verify that all equipment is properly tested and calibrated, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Monitor equipment sent out for repairs, ensuring timely return and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to acquire new equipment, conducting initial tests and evaluations before deployment.
  • Perform daily checks on ICU ETUs and Radiology rooms to guarantee uninterrupted services.
  • Manage service contracts for machines, tracking schedules and follow-ups.
Requirements:
  • Commercial experience as a Biomedical Engineer is essential.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt, with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement a project management plan.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative and autonomy in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional presentation and strong written and verbal communication skills.
