Procurement Business Partner Position

The Australian Federal Police provides dynamic and effective law enforcement across Australia. It offers policing services in relation to crime prevention and detection, as well as community policing services to the ACT.

Band 8 Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering a centralised procurement and contract management service through a business partner model.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve organisational outcomes that are delivered in accordance with CFO Command strategic priorities, regulatory frameworks, and the organisation's code of conduct.
  • Manage allocated resources, set work priorities, develop strategies, and evaluate business outcomes.
  • Identify and drive performance improvement, including measuring organisational performance.
  • Develop team members and provide support and advice.
  • Provide HR and management support to team members and supervisors.
  • Build and sustain relationships and liaise with a range of stakeholders, including other teams, peers, and colleagues internally and externally.
  • Provide sound advice to business on ways to improve or enhance their business practices.
  • Ensure appropriate action is taken to anticipate, communicate, investigate, and resolve problems in systems and services.
  • Represent the procurement service at various internal and external meetings as required.
