About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Retail to lead our Sportscraft brand in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement retail strategies aligned with the brand's overall objectives, recruit, lead, mentor, and develop the retail team to foster a high-performance culture, set and deliver clear performance goals and KPIs, and create a collaborative brand culture that aligns the retail team with the brand vision.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the operation of stores, ensuring operational excellence through people, process, and presentation initiatives, monitor and analyze store performance metrics, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction, optimize store rosters, and improve wage controls.
  • Sales and Profitability: Manage the P&L for the retail division, ensuring cost control and maximizing profitability, analyze financial reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, develop and implement strategies to drive key retail metrics, and consistently drive sales to meet and exceed sales budgets.
  • Customer Experience: Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring outstanding service and satisfaction, implement and monitor customer feedback, address any issues promptly, promote a positive customer journey in-store with well-executed brand stories, and drive customer retention, customer lifetime value, repeat purchases, and improve NPS.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the retail team, fostering a high-performance culture, ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the business, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development.
About You
  • Strong leadership and results-driven with a hands-on approach to drive change across all aspects of our retail stores.
  • A people-first approach and enjoy regular time in-store with your sales teams.
  • Innovative and problem-solving mindset with direct customer-facing sales experience and proven sales results.
  • Multi-site regional or state manager experience with a strong attention to visual merchandising and in-store presentation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work innovatively and collaboratively, holding individual teams to account across multiple stakeholders.
