Job Title: Facility Operations Manager

Puma Energy seeks a highly skilled professional to oversee the safe and efficient operation of a hazardous facility.

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock and manufacturing, controlling operating costs, and implementing operational improvements.

\Key Responsibilities:\

  • Manage daily and weekly production requirements to meet customer forecasting and orders.\
  • Supervise the storage and handling of imported bitumen, including joint venture operations.\
  • Monitor stock measurement and supply situation, advising stakeholders of supply or quality issues.\
  • Minimise demurrage due to facility operations by ensuring efficient and safe discharge of products from ships.\
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate supply issues.\
  • Benchmark facility operations against industry standards to identify opportunities for improvement.\
  • Develop and implement effective processes, systems, procedures, and training to support continuity and efficiency in operations and sales activities.\
  • Lead, motivate, and work collaboratively with others to achieve business objectives.\
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry safety and engineering standards.\
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly regarding processing equipment.\
  • Project management experience is desirable.\
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations.\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Customer-focused with self-motivated approach to identifying and implementing operational improvements.\
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.\
  • Industry knowledge and technical expertise in petroleum or manufacturing.\
  • Trade certification or tertiary education in an Engineering related discipline is desirable.\
