Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Clinical Specialist Public Health to join our team at NT Health. As a key member of our Centre for Disease Control, you will play a critical role in providing collaborative, appropriate, and proficient clinical care for complex client presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and provide direct and indirect clinical care for clients with complex needs, working collaboratively with less experienced nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to public health and clinical care.
  • Provide education and training to nursing and midwifery staff on public health and clinical care topics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (essential for ongoing appointment).
  • Proven experience in public health and clinical care, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
