About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Coach Trainer and Assessor to join our team at Katherine West Health Board. As a key member of our health services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to Trainee Health Coaches and Trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver industry-relevant training and assessment that comply with national standards
  • Ensure engaging delivery methods for diverse learners and learning styles
  • Develop and administer resources and assessment activities
  • Address varied student needs and provide additional assistance as necessary
  • Participate in KWHB staff training and development programs
  • Develop best practice models for vocational education and training delivery
  • Maintain professional standards and effective communication
  • Foster a collaborative team approach to course delivery
  • Maintain compliant student files and records
  • Support student training plans with relevant documentation
  • Adhere to KWHB Child Safe Organisation policies to ensure a safe learning environment
  • Provide reports to the Health Coaching Program Coordinator
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment & AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vocational training within the health services sector
Additional Requirements
  • Current driver's licence
  • Current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), or ability to obtain
  • Current Criminal History Check, or ability to obtain
  • Current COVID-19 immunisation certificate (3 doses required)
  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 50%)
  • Advanced computer skills
