Dynamic and efficient professionals are invited to apply for a challenging opportunity as a Project Officer within the Department of Transport and Main Roads North Queensland Region Corridor Management team.
As a specialist in technical knowledge, you will contribute to the effective operation and project delivery for works supporting the corridor management team. Your role will involve providing support to protect the department's current and future infrastructure interests and maintain safety and efficiency of the state-controlled roads in accordance with relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance program for TMR Far North District's vacant land, coordinating road declarations, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also assess applications for access to transport corridors managed by TMR and provide information relating to land tenure, easements, and encumbrances.
Requirements for the position include being a current holder of a Class C driver licence and eligible to work in Australia. A pre-employment check of serious discipline history is also required.
Desirable qualifications include experience in traffic and transport principles, modern corridor management practices and processes, and qualifications relevant to the transport infrastructure industry.
