Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Expert in Forensic Intervention to join our team as the Principal Clinician for Restorative Justice. This is an ongoing position that offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide expert-level clinical acumen to forensic clinical practices and be responsible for the Restorative Justice portfolio on behalf of Forensic Intervention Services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering world-best-practice treatment in forensic intervention and reducing reoffending
  • Proactively identifying and responding to complex strategic issues impacting on the delivery of clinical services and restorative justice referrals
  • Actively maintaining existing internal and external stakeholder relationships and developing new relationships that support the effectiveness of Forensic Intervention Services practices
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports, briefings, and submissions
  • Driving practice improvements to maximise clinical effectiveness and continuous improvement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold (or be eligible for) one of the following:

  • General registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Registration as a nurse and eligibility to be credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Specialist training and/or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field

Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor status is desirable.
