Job Title: Information Governance Professional

This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

The role involves assisting in transforming the way DFES manages its information assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining strategies, policies, and procedures for effective information management within the agency.
  • Providing high-level advice to Business Information System Owners on information management functionality requirements.
  • Promoting awareness of good information management practices and advocating for improved information management.
  • Managing and leading a team of six members, fostering professionalism, best practice, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Coordinating responses to Freedom of Information Act 1992 applications and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Representing the Department on relevant committees and contributing to whole-of-government Information Classification Policy development.
