Job Opportunity:

The Director of Defence Strategy is a pivotal leadership role that drives the defence leadership team in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Foster meaningful connections across all levels of client organisation and industry partners to build deep relationships.
  2. Lead Transformational Projects: Champion our collaborative culture while pursuing and securing major projects and programs aligned with our values and sales targets.
  3. Deliver High-Impact Results: Engage directly in project delivery to earn respect and credibility, demonstrating hands-on leadership and technical excellence.
  4. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with Defence & Security Market Lead to shape client engagement strategies that align with Defence priorities and emerging opportunities.
  5. Drive Innovation: Introduce innovative, high-quality services that meet client needs and uphold our reputation for excellence.
  6. Develop Talent: Recruit and nurture professionals with strong client engagement skills, providing coaching and mentorship to build a resilient, future-ready team.

Requirements:

  1. Expertise in Defence: Deep experience working with Department of Defence, particularly within Security and Estate Group in infrastructure services, and ideally within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group under defence support services.
  2. Leadership Skills: A proven ability to position, win, and deliver major infrastructure projects, navigate complex government processes, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
