We're seeking a dedicated and operationally focused Team Leader, Claims Processing to join our high-performing team in Adelaide. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for someone passionate about managing teams, driving performance, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your team, workforce planning, performance management, and coaching. You will also play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support your team to meet and exceed individual and team KPIs through structured coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
  • Manage workflow queues and resourcing to meet service level agreements and business requirements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive data-informed solutions for operational improvements and automation.
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities to build capability and engagement within your team.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Compliance, Process Design, and external stakeholders including providers and government bodies.
  • Analyse data and reporting to identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with company values and regulatory obligations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading large operational teams in complex environments—preferably within health insurance, financial services, or banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performance through effective coaching and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of operational management, including resource planning, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience in navigating regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
