Workshop Operations Manager

We're not looking for a generalist to fill a role. We need a seasoned professional who can drive the workshop's productivity and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the workflow, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that daily processes align with manufacturer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Daily Workflow: Allocate jobs, oversee output, and minimize delays
  • Prioritize Tasks: Ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Bridge the Gap: Collaborate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed and expectations realistic
  • Support the Team: Focus on output, not inspection, and provide guidance to technicians
  • Compliance Management: Ensure daily processes meet Ford service and warranty requirements
  • Leadership: Motivate and support technicians without micro-managing
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician in a dealership environment
Strong understanding of manufacturer warranty processes and compliance expectations
Natural leadership skills – able to earn respect from technicians and advisors
Skilled communicator – calm under pressure, direct but respectful
Mechanically qualified (preferred)
