We are seeking a professional to fill the role of Environmental Geochemist.

This is an opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to environmental and mine waste-related projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, and interpretation of geochemical investigations and studies, including characterisation of mine waste, water quality assessments, and predictive modelling of environmental impacts.

The Environmental Geochemist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. This includes supporting projects through all phases of development, from early-stage assessments through to closure.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning, execution, and interpretation of geochemical investigations and studies;
  • Characterisation of mine waste;
  • Water quality assessments;
  • Predictive modelling of environmental impacts;

To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in Environmental Science, Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field, with a solid understanding of geochemical processes and their relevance to mining and environmental projects. You will also require strong data analysis and interpretation skills, as well as excellent technical writing and reporting skills.

A minimum of 10 to 15+ years' experience in environmental geochemistry is required, preferably within the mining or consulting sectors. Experience in design, execution, and interpretation of geochemical characterisation programs is also essential.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines. A willingness to travel for fieldwork and project support is also required.
