Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to oversee our kitchen operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the food preparation team, deciding on menu offerings, and adjusting orders to meet guests' requests.
Key Responsibilities- Cook guests' orders according to their preferences, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
- Employ food safety best practices and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Act with caution in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where knives and high-temperature surfaces are present.
- Select high-quality ingredients to enhance dish flavors and presentation.
- Determine food quantities and maintain an optimal stock level, conducting regular stock takes.
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and industry developments to ensure a unique and positive dining experience for our guests.
- Work efficiently during busy periods, such as weekends and large functions.
- Take direction from the restaurant's administrative team and contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Relevant qualifications or 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- At least 3 years of experience as a chef in a similar restaurant environment.
- Ability to plan menus, create new dishes, and oversee pre-planning requirements.
- Ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented, meeting our standards.
- Manage kitchen operations, including staff management and training.
- Experience in upholding proper health and safety requirements in the kitchen.
- Ability to study the current market situation to ensure the business meets customer demands.
We are looking for candidates available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, Monday to Sunday. A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience is required for this role, and working rights are necessary. The expected salary for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 per year.
