Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LPN to provide medical care to clients in their homes and other settings across Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors, including diabetes management, dialysis, medication management, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
  • Experience in community health is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required; Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics.

Individuals in this role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.

As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a variety of settings, from home care to community clinics.

You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans. You will also participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
