The position

You will oversee the design lifecycle of complex systems, from concept through integration and validation, ensuring compliance with Design Controls and Engineering Management Systems. Your expertise in resolving design conflicts and ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and regulatory standards will be essential in driving project success.

This role combines technical excellence with team leadership, delivering constructible, cost-effective, and sustainable designs that meet project scope, budget, and schedule. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
  • Apply RAM principles to enhance system maintainability, availability, and reliability
  • Conduct and review proof engineering and independent checking
  • Evaluate ongoing projects, products, and processes to identify and diagnose performance deficiencies, impending or actual failures, and propose remedies and solutions
Required skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered Status (including RPEV, RPEQ, NER & CPEng), or the ability to achieve within months of commencing, is desirable
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) leading engineering teams in HV/MV systems and infrastructure (including 220kV or higher)
