Project Director - Terminal Operating System - APAC

Drive Innovation in Terminal Operations

DP World is seeking a visionary Project Director to lead the deployment of our Terminal Operating System (TOS) across APAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding the project team, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the successful implementation of our TOS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the project team, providing strategic direction and insights to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor team performance, set goals, and conduct reviews.
  • Develop scopes of work and technical specifications, preparing detailed budgets and ensuring cost tracking aligns with approved financial processes.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting through the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system.
  • Identify risks and issues, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Commitment to mentoring and developing team members for professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent, with knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
  • Over 10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record in establishing and executing project frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of structured project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PMBOK 6th Edition).
  • Experience leading medium to large project teams and delivering software infrastructure projects, particularly in logistics or similar industries.
  • Ability to apply IT engineering principles to review and challenge designs and applications.
  • Strong technical management skills with hands-on project experience.
  • Proficient in data analysis, scheduling, and reporting (MS Office, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in budget preparation and cash flow monitoring.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
