Municipal Maintenance Worker

h2About the Role/h2pWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Municipal Maintenance Worker to join our team at Katherine Town Council. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and beautification of the Katherine Municipality./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliProvide general maintenance, repairs, and services to Council assets, including recreation facilities and buildings, parks, gardens, open spaces, and cemeteries./liliUndertake manual labour duties such as mowing, whipper snipping, litter removal, vegetation and weed management, and other outdoor duties relating to the beautification of the Municipality./liliAssist with burials and cemetery maintenance as required./liliAssist with set up and clean up for Council events as required./li/ulph2Requirements/h2pTo be successful in this role, you will need:/pulliA current NT Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence/liliA current NT Driver's Licence/liliMinimum experience of 2 years in a similar or related role/liliSound verbal communication skills/liliExperience in machinery, tools, equipment used for general maintenance and repairs/liliAbility to read plans and understand direction/liliAbility to work independently for prolonged periods of time/liliAbility to work outdoors in the heat for prolonged periods of time/liliAbility to undertake manual labour on a regular basis/li/ulph2About Us/h2pKatherine Town Council is the Municipal Council for Katherine, NT.
