We are seeking a highly skilled Injury Management Advisor to join our team at Suncorp Group. As a key member of our Statutory Claims team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our decision-making process and promoting consistency in approach and compliance to legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Expertise: Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims handlers, including interpreting medical reports, providing injury management advice, and determining rehabilitation and treatment requirements.
- Develop and Implement Claims Strategy: Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims handlers on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services and recommendations for future rehabilitation management.
- Support Claims Team: Provide consistent injury management expertise and support to ensure ongoing quality decisions and provide input into claims strategy.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Engage and negotiate with Service Providers, Claimants, Solicitors, and claims staff.
- Education: Degree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years clinical experience and minimum 2 years Workers Compensation/ CTP Experience - Desired.
- Skills: Ability to identify developmental needs of team members and recommend training activities to achieve positive outcomes.
