We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team in shaping the future of Defence naval operations. As a key member of our design and analysis team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and constructing various types of vessels and marine structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop plans for new vessels, including hull form, stability, and structural design, using advanced software tools.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of marine vessels to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and classification society standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform stability, hydrodynamic, and structural analyses to ensure the integrity of vessel designs.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to facilitate the construction and delivery of vessels.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Naval Architect/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
  • Familiarity and experience of ship systems design and its impact upon integration.
  • Proficiency in naval architecture software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Experience in the Defence or Naval sector is highly regarded.
