About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art naval sustainment project, collaborating with top industry experts and advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and construction of various types of vessels and marine structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop plans for new vessels, including hull form, stability, and structural design.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of marine vessels.
  • Utilize advanced software tools, such as AutoCAD, Rhino, and ShipConstructor, to create detailed models and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform stability, hydrodynamic, and structural analyses to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and classification society standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Aeronautical).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
  • Understanding of ship structural designs.
  • Familiarity with ship systems design and its impact on integration.
  • Proficiency in naval architecture software.
