Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Professional to join our team in the Coolum area. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting older Australians to maintain their independence and live at home for longer.

About the Role

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity that offers a stable and rewarding work environment. Your day-to-day tasks will include providing domestic assistance, personal care, and social support to our clients. You will also have the opportunity to drive clients to medical appointments and assist with shopping.

Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance including cleaning and cooking or meal preparation
  • Assist with personal care, including getting clients up, showering, and dressing
  • Drive clients to medical appointments and take them shopping
  • Offer social support and community engagement
  • Provide complex care and medication management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Driver's licence and a fully insured car
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • A Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A Current flu vaccine (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability to work at least 3 days on weekdays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resilience and ability to work independently
  • A big heart, empathy, and a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life
